Introducing GNUCITIZEN Topics
It was obvious from the vary beginning that GNUCITIZEN will eventually end up with forum like system for brainstorming ideas. Instead of installing forum software, I decided to reuse existing technologies. The system that evolved after my fixes and patches is quite nice and I am proud of it.
GNUCITIZEN Topics is moderated notebook discussion board that will collect the best of the generated ideas. The topics are selected by the GNUCITIZEN core team while the discussion is build upon your comment submissions. The system supports topic purification process that redefines the discussion structure for better usability and readability keeping track of your record and contributions.
The topics system will be part of GNUCITIZEN platform which will be available soon. I will post an article for it as soon as the trunk reaches stability. I am not sure when that will happen but it is coming up, so be ready. The platform is located here. There is not much you can do with it for now but it is nice to check it out from time to time because changes are about occur soon.

Did you code the entire software? Or did you used a opensource CMS as a start for coding the actual gnucitizen web?
I like the idea, I think the actual web is very easy to use and beautiful.
