Exploiting the iPhone
I have a video for you that shows a demonstration of an iPhone exploit in action. Keep in mind that this is just one of the many exploits that has been discovered so far.
Once again, the problem is within the browser. Again? Well, browsers are quite complicated software. They usually work with loads of strings (i.e. memory, leave Firefox to run for a day, check the occupied memory for the browser process and prepare to be amazed). It is easy to screw up.
I don’t want to say that we are doomed but given the fact that most mobile devices will soon have enhanced browsers, it is very likely that we will stumble across similar exploits in the future.
